Inspiration for Black Amber

I have always sought inspiration from folklore. I feel that the folk stories that are intimately embedded into our landscape add an air of enchantment to the world we live in.

This is true where ever you live should you care to look. Or you may feel that sense of enchantment just is.

So The Bat totem had for me to embrace and in some way share that presence of enchantment.

In this way it was central to me that the Bat had a sense of benevolence in the way she appeared and felt.

Amidst her dark slender frame she holds the Totemic spirit of the Bat diaspora collectively calling for us all to have a more harmonic relationship towards nature and the world we share with Bats
